At American Grinding & Machine, we manufacture a product line of BRUTE machine bases in various standard models. We also make modifications to our traditional designs to accommodate application-specific requirements. The machine base highlighted here is a one-off of our M100 heavy-duty model designed and built for a material pallet handling application in the steel industry.

This custom machine base features overall dimensions of 27" wide x 144" long x 25-3/4" high. Constructed from hot-rolled steel that we keep an ample inventory of in our warehouse, we cut the top from a one-inch thick steel plate. The custom top was Blanchard ground to our standard flatness tolerances of ±0.002" per foot and a 63 micro finish. We also cut and welded the supporting framework using our standard M100 machine base design and painted it a bright color for safety code compliance. This base has the rigidity and stability to fulfill the customer's end-use needs. Manufacturing it as a custom top with a standard base proved faster and far more cost-effective than a full custom solution.

With our integrated production capabilities, we manufactured, inspected, and delivered a total of four units within a four to five-week timeframe.
